We're back and are working hard at becoming leaders again. Over the past few years many new Toronto restaurant directories have come and gone, and today only a few good guides are still online. Please check back often as we start adding new and improved user features to enhance your experience at our website. we believe, with your help, we can become number one again. It's about time Toronto had a restaurant guide to call it's own.

Terroni Restaurant
720 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON (416) 504-0320I recall that my piano teacher used to say, "Vivace, vivace!". Eventually (And I mean eventually…) I learned this meant lively in Italian, and that’s probably the best way to sum up all that is Terroni.
Upon entering this narrow establishment, you’ll find yourself standing beside a forbidding wall of pasta, olive oil, and hand-painted plates. No, this is not some cheesy trip to Olive Garden, but rather an informal visit to Italy. If your lucky enough to find a seat before closing time, you’ll discover that the ever-busy waitresses will always be able to accommodate your wining and dining needs. The menu offers a plethora of pizzas (the kind they make in Italy; thin-crusted, flat, and innovative toppings), not to mention an authentic gathering of appetizers. These range from the exciting Bresaola (thin, air-cured beef tenderloin marinated in lemon and x virgin olive oil) to a more traditional Prosciutto e Melone (prosciutoo and cantaloupe). While waiting for your food, you can actually go to a glass-enclosed counter where you can see your pizza being made.
Once the food arrives, the real fun starts. You’ll indulge your taste buds while cruising in this invigorating and benevolent environment, never stopping to look back. As for dessert, treat yourself to the best cappucino or espresso in Toronto (move over Starbucks) and maybe give your sweet tooth a workout. At the end, you’ll feel that the party was just getting started regardless of how much fun you had. But don’t worry, your stomach will have memories at this Toronto restaurant and so will you.
Mildred's Temple Kitchen
85 Hanna Ave. Suite #104, Toronto, ON (416) 588-5695Once upon a time, I got lost trying to find a friend’s house in the area. I stumbled upon this restaurant and curiously remembered the name. As such, I vowed to return one day triumphantly (although I’m not sure why it would be triumphantly, I guess I felt proud that I found the place). The next day, I made dinner reservations at this little gem called Mildred's Temple Kitchen.
This fairy tale of a restaurant evoked images of grandeur as if pulled straight from the pages of Tolkien (Lord of the Rings). Tall ceilings bathed in chiffon greeted your arrivival as if you were a king, and the waiting staff continued that trend thoughout the evening. A Romanesque and neo-Medieval style surrounds you, soothing the mind and comforting the soul allowing for quite a rejuvenating experience. Thankfully, the food proved to be quite complimentary to the absorbing atmosphere.
An open kitchen is always reassuring and pleasing to watch, and the artistic folk at Mildred's Temple Kitchen dressed it up well as to focus your attention towards it. The food itself was quite a treasure, exuding flavour and arranged quite stylistically. The menu varies with season, but always has a creative flair in it, along with a noticeable Asian influence. Though the sommelier was sick for that evening, our waiter seemed confident and knowledegable in advising a wine to accompany our mains. All that was left to be desired was the royal chariot to take me home. An animated experience nevertheless.
I love happy endings.
Auberge du Pommier
4150 Yonge St, Toronto, ON (416) 222-2220 Restaurant Reviewer Joanne Kates of the Globe & Mail recently wrote "Auberge du Pommier is an ineffably beautiful restaurant, made a decade ago from the remains of two 1860's woodcutters' cottages brought back to life with a keen esthetic and an eye for romance. We love its looks. Every time we go there, a different extravagance of flowers greets us at the door-sometimes tulips, sometimes hydrangeas, always seasonal. Everything speaks of a French country restaurant: the fat wooden beams, the stucco, the French-style windows, the stone arches, the wood burning fireplaces, the terra cotta tiles and above all, the ultra smooth service."
Biagio Restaurant
155 King St E, Toronto, ON (416) 366-4040 The historic St. Lawrence Hall with its sweeping Corinthian columns, unique cupola and history of hosting many of Toronto's most important and glittering events is the backdrop for Biagio Ristorante, a classically elegant restaurant with an authentic Italian pedigree. Milanese specialties, like saffron risotto and vension braised in truffle oil are among the intriguing possibilities, as well as daily specials and prodigious pastas. The private cobblestone Patio or Piazzetta at Biagio Ristorante is unique in Toronto. Enchanting summer patio for romantic liasons. The melodic sounds of the classic guitar from our resident musician, transport you to the side walk cafés of Rome or Paris. For lunch or dinner, Biagio offers good food, excellent wines, attentive service and the relaxing ambiance you deserve.
La Vecchia Restaurant
2405A Yonge St., Toronto, ON (647) 258-7472 Stay for La Vecchia's delicious Italian and Mediterranean menu with wonderful seletions of fish, seafood, meat and game. The pastas come in heaping portions, and the vegetables are always market-fresh. Never skip dessert here. Everything from the double-lemon cheesecake to the creme brulee is sure to leave you panting for more.
The wine list is a delight with many vintages, featuring selections from Italy, France, and the New World. If it's apres-theatre you're looking for, several ports, cognacs and grappas nicely complement your meal.

Centro's multi-level 240-seat dining facility is known for its flamboyant image, leading edge culinary excellence and professional, courteous service.

Patrons rave about the extensive award-winning wine list, with over 450 selections in many price ranges. Centro's innovative kitchen follows the rhythm of the calendar, focusing on fresh Canadian produce in a contemporary European menu.
Still ultra chic after a decade in business, the main dining area is akin to a modern Venetian palace, including pillars and 18-foot ceilings, resplendent with colour and refracted light. Downstairs, the 75 seat avant garde bar/restaurant boasts a more casual elegance with earth-tone banquettes, floating mirrors and a custom designed sushi bar.
